It felt especially hot at Le Peep today....I am sure that it was not the fault of the restaurant. Even with air conditioning at full blast, shades drawn, the sheer amount of people crammed in the restaurant had to add to the heat from outside. I do not like their bacon. It is the kind that has a liver aftertaste. I also did not care for the country fried steak. It too had a liver aftertaste. The Huevos Rancheros? OMFG! Forget the rest of the menu. Order it if you like heat, jalapenos, carnitas and green sauce. If you can't handle the heat, stick with the happy face pancakes.

45 min wait, hair in water, hard eggs Benedict, no apologies from server... How do u keep your customers?

Stay away! This place is a real dive joint with poor quality food, service and decor. I've been in dive joints with good food, this place isn't one of those. There is nothing good at Le Peep and they think that because they are in Park Ridge the menu should be over priced. This place seriously needs an Le Enema!!

Service is extremely slow. Food is a little below average. Price is too high. Coffee should be the cheapest thing on the menu but here it is not. I ordered a breakfast burrito. When the burrito finally came I asked the waitress for some extra salsa. She brought me a bowl of hot pasta sauce with chunks of unidentifiable vegetables and I poured it on the burrito before I knew what i got. When I got the bill 15 minutes after we'd finished our meal. (btw the place was not crowded) I was taken aback by the 1 dollar charge for salsa. This took the bad service over the top as I asked for extra salsa and was given a hot bowl of pasta sauce. I would avoid this place.

A 1pm Sunday "breakfast" after sleeping in just a bit. My brother, his girlfriend, and I decided we wanted breakfast food so we went to the one place we love. Le Peeps. Im just going to have to cut to the chase and say our service was disappointing. As soon as we were seated our server came and handed us menus and told us the kitchen would be closing in 15 minutes and walks away. Ummm...coffee please? We got the Stuffed French Toast, Salmon Eggs Benedict, and Benedict Omelette. Food arrives and is AMAZING...but where's the coffee and water? He brings the water after I waved my hand in the air and then tells me the coffee is brewing. Uh huh...I ordered coffee 30 minutes ago. Anyways, back to the food. I would love to give them 5 stars just for the food. Consistent, delicious, huge portions, A+. I like the extra touches with the parsley and the dill sprinkles. The cut up potatoes are simply well made. I do have to applaud them for automatically bringing the ketchup and hot sauce. Whew! That would've been an added disappointment. Interior is light and airy with a huge ceiling in the main seating area. Art work hangs from local students on their walls and windows are painted with seasonal things. I wish I could of loved this eating out experience but maybe next time. I will be back but hopefully not so close to closing time...and not the same server.

Everyone was friendly and the food was great so why only one star? I took a companion there for lunch during the work week and between taking our order and delivering the food, it took 1/2 hour - literally. When we got there at 12:45 the restaurant was hopping with what looked like the local business people and when we left at about 1:30 (about 10 minutes to eat), there were a few sparse tables filled with mainly the elderly. It seems that, unless you can get there before noon and you have an hour for lunch, everyone around there knows that this IS NOT a place to go to for a work day lunch. Someone should tell them that the explanation "we were busy" to a customer is restaurantese for we didn't have enough waitresses and we really don't need your business. They are right.

I was a regular at Le Peep in Evanston while in college. I think it's scientifically known that the "Lumberjack," with a healthy dose of hot sauce, will cure any hangover. And like any fun-loving coed, I had my share of libations. Pardoning my digression, I have fond memories of the Evanston Le Peep and always found the service and food to be very good. But after visiting the Le Peep in Park Ridge, I wished I was drunk. The service was really lacking, and the food quality was pretty low. I also ordered a salad and they were out of ranch. How does a U.S. restaurant run out of ranch? It's like being out of ketchup. And I think their prices went up too because I was out a whole lotta change for a very lackluster meal. Needless to say, I will not be returning to this establishment any time soon.

Great breakfast/brunch place. Unlike one of the reviews I read about Le Peep, I actually loved their bacon. It wasn't fatty and hard, but rather soft and tasty. My entire breakfast was fantastic. I'm usually a hard critic when it comes to pancakes, but theirs were just right-fluffy, buttermilk goodness. I say yay.

I went here with a group of 5 for breakfast on Sunday, around 12:30. (No, despite the time, it was not lunch.) We were going to head to The Original Pancake House, but there was a long wait, so it was decided to try Le Peep. I haven't eaten at this location in years, though I did go to their West Loop location a couple of months ago. I'll start with the bad and move onto the good... Cons: Long wait for our food, even though the resturant was only about 70% full. Normally I'd think it was because we were a larger group, but a table of 2 next to us waited at least 30 minutes for their food. The potatoes were a bit dry. Pros: Extremely nice server! My friend and I decided to get two breakfasts and split them up, which we like to do so we can try different things. Without being asked, our server split them over our two plates, which made things WAY easier for us. Yay! Over all, really good food. Collectively, our table got the following (and enjoyed it all, despite the potatoes being a bit dry): Chicken-fried steak Biscuits and gravy Greek Goddess (special of the day) Green Fields Forever (sans chicken) Kid's cheeseburger (the fries looked awesome!) Fast checkout. We had to split the bill three ways- and it was no prob at all. I'll definitely go back, but I have to say, I think TOPH next door is still my favorite!

I decided to give this place another try... the food and service were slightly better than the last time I came, but I can still only go up to 3 stars.

Wide variety of food - but nothing spectacular. We went there for Valentines day brunch. It was nice. They have a wide variety of things to choose from - so you're bound to find something that you'll like on the menu. For a breakfast place it was a little on the pricey side, but not bad. You could easily spend more and the portions are big so you get your money's worth. I'm not a big breakfast eater. I had the almond cranberry pancakes. There were two giant pancakes with a lot of berries in them, but I think just almond flavor. I had some sausage on the side - three hearty links. I also had some fresh orange juice. My wife had a salmon eggs benedict. She said it was okay, but dry. Again a huge piece of salmon came out, but she would have preferred it to have been lox. Overall a nice place to go once in a while for breakfast, lunch, or brunch as they are not open at night. Lots of parking nearby. What was odd was that when I tried to use Yelp to find it, as I new I was nearby, it didn't show up. Perhaps this review will help it to show up on the Yelp maps.

Nothing special, really. We tried Gale Street for brunch, not knowing that they don't DO brunch during the summer months, so then we headed up north and I remembered Le Peep. It was crowded, of course, but it only took about 15 minutes to get a table. Service was reasonably fast, and the food was good but not exceptional. The only quibble I had was that the whites of my over easy eggs were still runny, and that squicks me beyond the telling of it. But I didn't make it clear that I hate them that way, so I didn't say anything. I need to learn to tell the server in advance seeing as how so many places serve over easy like that these days. It was also fairly warm inside, and on a day where the humidity is in the 95% range, and the temps are in the low 90s outside, that's not a good thing. One family walked out because of the heat. I didn't think it was that oppressive but everyone is different. If I couldn't think of a better place to go tor brunch, Le Peep would be a reasonable choice. But mostly I can think of better places to go.

I used to be a regular here until I discovered their neighbor can make better biscuits and gravy. Generally the food is ok, but usually if it takes me 5 mins to look over the menu and tell the waitress that I need more time to look that menu over, then it's not a good sign. I used to think that they were the only ones to make my favorite breakfast until I discovered it elsewhere (and it was better there). The charge an arm and a leg for extras like two sausage links that are obviously those frozen heat and serve kind. Don't bother ordering juice there. It's a lot of money for a half carafe of OJ that only gives you about four glasses so if there's two in your party that just gives each person two small glasses. The place is clean and well kept, but their chairs are soooo uncomfortable my back's already starting to hurt just thinking about it. I don't think I'll be going back there anytime soon.

Le Peep is the perfect place to go when you want brunch/breakfast without the fuss. Sure, you may wait a little bit but it's never too long. Le Peep just has great food. My only problem is that I order the same thing every time I go here...the Drifter. Yes I got it the last time I went and yes it was still great! Luckily my boyfriend likes to switch it up and tries other breakfast dishes and no complaints! Service is fine, we're never in a rush so whatever. It's brunch, some of the Park Ridge people in there need to relax a little bit and realize the server is not just waiting on your table....cue my devil horns.. * Note, my reviews are for the Le Peep in Park Ridge...just realized I was reviewing the Mt. Prospect one..oops

Against better judgment, I went here again for breakfast. Service sucked very badly. It took almost 15 minutes for the server to approach my table, and I had to beg him to take my order and bring me coffee. Had he taken 1 minute more to approach my table, I would have walked out. Of course, he had so much time to chat with every other table and serve 4 other tables which walked in way after I was seated. It should be noted that my server never checked on my table during my meal. My meal sucked badly. Eggs over cooked and cold, potatoes undercooked and ice cold, english muffin was raw and cold, and my bacon was cold (I swear it was microwaved!). But the biggest crime against humanity was that my coffee was pisswater weak and room temperature. At the end of the meal, I ended up asking the cashier to send over a manager so I could complain. After a 12 minute wait, the manager felt bothered enough to show up. I notified her about my experience, and she let me know that she will deal with it and my server... in 5 hours after his shift ends, and that depended on if others complained about his service. She also gave me 2 complimentary meal coupons which were set to expire 1 week after my visit. This place is the suck. I am not planning to go back to this location.

I have been coming here since this place opened in the 80's. This place has really gone down hill. We presented a coupon upon ordering as customary and were told that it could not be honored because it was Presidents Day. I guess I should have checked the unwritten policy board. Once we placed our order it took a very long time and when it arrived at our table, it was wrong. People that had walked in after we ordered got served before us and we didn't order anything that would require the extra time. They also do not accept Discover so they do not accept ALL credit cards. To sum up my review, they have permanently lost three customers and this my way to pass on my experience.

I'm definitely a fan of this place. It's one of the two I can depend on and frequently go to in the area. The prices are decent for the area and the food has yet to leave me disappointed. I've always enjoyed the waffles, pancakes, or omelets. Coffee is kept full for the most part (very important to me!) The atmosphere can get a bit loud, but I enjoy the hustle and bustle early in the morning. Typically, we're seated within 5 min of arriving. Parking can sometimes be hard to find and you may have to park a block away depending on the time of day. Thumbs up!

The food was absolutely amazing. I got the eggs benedict, and i enjoyed every bite of it. The service was a little in-personal, and boring which is usually a killer for me.

So, Le Peep is pretty much your typical brunch place-- eggs, pancakes, good fresh squeezed juices and smoothies... This location is cleaner than others I've been to (I'm looking at you, Evanston) and the staff is friendly. Since it's the only brunch place in Park Ridge, there's usually a decently long wait to get a table, and if you're from the area you're also pretty much guaranteed to run into someone from high school.

The "meh" under the two star rating is exactly how I feel about Le Peep. The servers are generally nice, while the people up front are far too snooty for girls who look about 18. The coffee is great, while the food is generally dry and tastes like nothing special. It seems like the kind of place you go to be seen in park ridge, or the kind of place to go to claim you ate something new and interesting. The breakfast potatoes are totally unimpressive. Dry and could by trumped by frozen ones made at home. The pork chili that comes with the juevos rancheros and the breakfast burrito is pretty good, at first. Then it seems just as bland as the rest of that dish. I kind of hate tomatoes and mushrooms, and those two things come on just about everything on the menu...and its definitely the kind of place you'd get funny looks for taking off the veggies. I've been there twice, once purely because we got a coupon, and after the last time I have no plans to go back. Its definitely not cheap, besides.

We went here for a late Sunday breakfast and the place was busy but not overly packed. I like the way they have the tables set up and the layout of the place, All of the tables surrounding us were occupied and i did not feel cramped or feel like I was listening in to someone else's conversation. Our server was very good, she was friendly, fast, efficient, and did a remarkable job of trying to turn over our table without making us feel rushed. We started off with the cinnamonster, which we split because the cinnamon roll holds true to it's name. It did not disappoint. For the main course I had biscuits and gravy, eggs, and hash browns. It had a special name, but I don't remember the 'official' name for it. Everything was very good. I am a big fan of biscuits and gravy and finding excellent biscuits and gravy in Chicago is difficult. These were different to say the least. the gravy itself was OK but they added some green onions to it which was a different little twist. I enjoyed the change from the norm.

Very good and popular breakfast spot in downtown Park Ridge. Lots of menu choices around the usual staples: eggs, pancakes, french toast, oatmeal, yogurt... (try the Petit Toast: french toast sprinkled w/ powdered sugar, bacon and fruit side - ooh good!). Food is good and plentiful, and you get your own carafe of coffee. I only wish their skillet dishes came with scrambled eggs (like Egg Harbor) instead of basted eggs. But their fresh-squeezed orange juice makes up for it!

Went back this past weekend 10/7, I highly suggest not visiting in the afternoon if you're having breakfast items. Well, in general. There on a Sunday afternoon, the place was a pig sty. The carpet was filthy with crumbs and other debris. A once over with that roller vacuum thing could've made the place looked cleaner. The glassware and dishes stocked on the table were unclean. My friend and I shared a Cinnamonster. Big cinnamon roll. We thought it probably would've been tastier in the early AM, if, they are baked every morning. The roll was sweet enough and well liquidated with cream, just the roll itself tasted, day old. In all the experience was just OK. In the future, breakfast hours only. For those of you picky about silverware and glassware, you won't enjoy whats offered here. Both look like they have been munched, crunched, bit, bitten, smashed, scratched, maybe a once through a garbage disposal. Not appetizing, visually speaking. ************************************* Very good breakfast place. Call ahead on weekends. Its downtown Park ridge area, it can get HELLA busy. On one occasion I was out there early morning, before doors opened and there was a line. I still waited almost forty minutes.

The stuffed french toast started my Sunday off in a pleasant sugar-y state. Good thing since it numbed my desire to take the screaming baby from a close-by table, dip it in tempura batter and then deep-fry it. Good food but temper that with the knowledge you'll be having breakfast with everyone else in Park Ridge since apparently there is only one other place to go...and don't even get me started on Original House of Pancakes. Crowded, slow but nice service, and children - i'd go again if I was in the area, but it's not worth a special trip.

I came here for Breakfast and the food was really good. I brough my son who is a picky eatter and even he liked the food! There were quite a bit of people, but we were lucky enough to get there early before the crowd came. The place seemed clean, and the staff was friendly and checked in on us quite a bit. Prices wasn't bad at all either! I would go back for breakfast!

Very good dark roast coffee, which I find generally hard to come by. the food was good too. I had the cranberry oatmeal which came with a gooey bun, which is an English muffin with butter, brown sugar and almonds on top. Good place to stop if you're in the area, not worth a special trip though.

I ordered a new dish, Monte Cristo Crepe, which sounds good but I felt cheated in the end becuase it didn't know what it wanted to do. My girlfriend had the chicken crepes and it was on the soggy side, it tasted good though. The potatoes look good until you start chewing on them, the seasoning cant hide the taste. The problem with these types of establishments is that they have to many things on the menu. If you want to serve breakfast then stick with that. The waiter was friendly but he was MIA the whole time there, with only 5 tables of customers. The place is setup well but they need to improve the taste of the food just a little. It doesn't taste bad and it was well prepared but they need to improve the quality. Expect to wait forever for food. I recommend bringing a newspaper or a laptop to keep you busy for at least half hour after you sit down. Park Ridge has failed me twice this year when it comes to food.

  • Kristin B.

Consistently good....I usually get the dutch apple oatmeal, which keeps me full all day until dinnertime or the mini veggie omelette, which is equally delicious. Service is pretty good and they do give out some good coupons (as well as their coupon book you can purchase...very good deals to last all year). Flavored coffee is tasty and the lunch menu items I have sampled are also pretty good (love the open-faced BLT!) My only beefs? They run out of soup FAST....I got there at lunchtime once and they were completely out (and it was not particularly close to closing)....also, their women's bathroom is gross! The rest of the place is very clean, but the bathroom smells horrible and it never changes...maybe next time I go I need to mention something

Been here once and that'll be it. The place is super packed, no room on the tables, service takes forever, food was room temp, bland breakfast meats and very noisy to top it all off. It was VERY annoying eating here. I'm surprised I saw good reviews posted, these people must be clueless and probably have never had good breakfast before. Prices are far from reasonable. 4 skillets, 2 coffees and 2 juices for close to 60 bucks??

What has happened to Le Peep? I have been going to the Park Ridge location for more than a decade, but my family's last two visits over the past 3 months have been more than disappointing. What can you say about food-encrusted tableware? The server was extremely apologetic and replaced it quickly, but the red flag had already been flown. There are not too many ways to go wrong with oatmeal, but Le Peep managed to show us how. Could it have been microwaveable oatmeal? Only Le Peep knows for sure. Would you like sliced banana with your oatmeal? How about 4 small slices nestled in a tiny ramekin? On our last visit for breakfast, approximately the end of March, we were placed at a table next to a wall with framed artwork by children. While waiting for our food we looked at the pictures and were dismayed to see fruit flies had claimed this wall of art as their new home. More than enough to put you off your food. Goodbye, Le Peep. It was a good ten years while it lasted.

Ok, we've been here many times over the past few years. It has really gone downhill recently. The food is ok, decent brunch food, and the kids like it. There was about a 20 minute wait last time we were there, but that didn't bother me. The BIG PROBLEM was: the waitstaff was awful. The servers used to be friendly, etc. This time, the server and busboy kept trying to take our plates before we were finished! When we finally said (we were irritated by now) - No, we're not finished, the busboy muttered very nasty swearwords in Spanish. Only my husband heard him, and after our meal, he discreetly went up front\, asked for a manager and informed her. Apparently, she initially had a bit of an attitude, but said Thanks for letting her know. Um, really? For that, I'd do a lot more than Thanks for letting me know - how about a sincere apology, free meal, etc??? I think we will find another place to go for brunch.

Wow does this place need cleaning--if you can avoid looking up at the ceiling you won't see the black dust ridden ceiling grates that who knows what is dropping off into the air, or on the tables or your food, plus you won't have to look at all of the discolored ceiling tiles. If you can avoid looking to your sides, you won't have to look at the drab, depressing wall colors, or the old out of date decorations. If you can avoid looking at the window sills you won't have to see all of the dust and dead bugs. If you can avoid looking at the chairs, chair legs, table legs and feet, you won't have to look at all of the built up grime. The place really needs a face lift, even the exterior is looking bad. What's up with that? The place is usually busy. The menu was creative and the items all looked appealing. Service was very good and the food was OK, not bad. If the dining area is so dingy and dirty, what's the kitchen like?

I ate here for the first time in years last weekend and really looked forward to dining there again. My first clue that things had changed was that there were a bunch of open tables as I always remembered having a short wait for a table on a Sunday. They were clearly understaffed in wait staff. Our server was very nice but unfortunately it looked like she was having to cover half the room. The food came quickly after ordering but I immediately saw that my omelet was flat as a pancake and discovered that it didn't have anything inside. The poor waitress was busy elsewhere and eventually someone else, perhaps the manager, came over to our table. They were apologetic and replaced the meal, this time to my satisfaction but it did take much longer than to get my meal than the first time. Unfortunately my date was all done with her meal by then. If my experience was not unusual it could certainly explain how empty the restaurant was on a Sunday morning. All in all there are other good alternatives close by.

A good breakfast consists of tasty food. An exceptional breakfast is a combination of deliciousness and fresh, quality ingredients. Throw in friendly and attentive service, and you have a high quality restaurant experience. Le Peep hits 'em all. Check it. (Recommendation: Try out something from the South of the Border menu.)

wtf. This wasn't my first choice on a lunch location but since my bf drove all the way to my office to take me to lunch, I figured I would give him the choice of restaurant. And he wanted breakfast food at noon. Le Peep was close, I didn't have a ton of time, and I figured their breakfast was worth a shot. The service was pretty much the same. The server wasn't very attentive, they forgot to bring out one of the dishes, and it was over all slooooooooooooow. So, not much improvement there. Their breakfast was much more impressive than the lunch. We both went for the breakfast tacos with scrambled eggs, cheese, tomatoes and peppers on corn tortillas. The bf added bacon into his, while I opted to go meatless and with egg whites. I also went with a side of fruit. The dishes came out and looked pretty darn good. The tortillas were slightly crispy, and looked stuffed with egg-y goodness. Looks are deceiving. While the bf's tacos were stuffed full of scrambled eggs, mine were not. Seriously. What is it about egg whites that people can't get right? The quantity lacked. It was borderline pathetic. But whatever, mixed with the pico de gallo, avocado and sour cream, they were good enough. On to the side of fruit. Everything was fresh except the blueberries. It was obvious those babies just came out of the freezer not long before they hit my plate. It would have just been better to leave them off. No one wants to eat frozen fruit. Sadly, I was hoping the breakfast menu would get at least 4 stars since my last experience left me wanting a lot more. It was better than last time, but I'm still not convinced. I'm just not sure I'll be back.

First time at Le Peep in Park Ridge today. I've been to the Evanston location more than a handful of times with each experience more delightful than the last. The Le Peep in Park Ridge is no different. Friendly service, great food and ample amounts of parking. I had the taco trio and added bacon. Delish!

The restaurant is dirty and dusty which only adds to the dark depressing colors of the painted wood. Chairs are dusty, ceiling vents and tiles look very dirty. The carpeting looks old, worn and dirty. The restaurant certainly could use a makeover. Food is ok, but the atmosphere is certainly lacking.

Went here with my boyfriend. As soon as I walked into the door, I just knew this experience was going to be terrible. I waited for entirely too long before the two teenage girls argued to figure out who should take me to my table. After we were seated it took another 15 mins before anyone even asked for our drinks. For service this terrible I was hopping the food would at least make up for it, it didn't. The food was just barely good quality. Once we finished our food it took another 15 mins before I finally had to get up and ask for my own bill. TERRIBLE SERVICE!!!! I will never recommend or step foot in this place ever again.

I had a taste for a club sandwich and given the limited choices down NW Hwy in this strip of chain outlets, I decided to give this place a shot. Menu was your typical greasy spoon neighborhood joint (seven brothers, omega, etc). While not as robust as some, enough items on the menu for most. The first mistake I made was not ordering a breakfast type item, as it appears that is what they are known for in the area. Second mistake was when I guess I did not read the continents and description of their turkey club sandwich. The club here is mostly ham, with a few slices of turkey, 2 slices of bacon and 1 tomato served in a folded over pita bread. The sandwich was OK, but for $9 there was really not much to work with. The club @ Jack's on Touhy in Lincolnwood is a beauty, this was not even close to be a contender. Older clientele, with some young Chase bankers/tellers from across the street.

Another place I just-so-happened to stumble upon. This time when trying to get to Siam Thai that I've been wanting to try in Park Ridge. I tried stopping in for an early lunch (10:30ish) but they weren't open yet. So I walked next door and found Le Peep. Has a very homey, diner-type feel to it. Pretty large if you consider it's size as a whole. My waitress was very nice the entire time, making fun coversation and making comments at the amount of food I ordered (SURPRISE right!?) There's a glass container of lemon water at each table for you to pour for yourself as you want. The first thing that immediately caught my eye were the cookie cakes; I ordered them immediately. They're two cakes filled with chocolate chips and crunchy sweet granola. The cakes are large and each one nearly takes up the plate themself, so the two of them were hanging over the edges. The chocolate chips melt perfectly inside. The batter turns perfectly flakey and soft. And the addition of the granola was very different and it's my new obsession for pancakes. Just a great piece overall. I also ordered what they call an Omni Omelette, which is an omelette with ham, sausage, bacon, mushrooms, combo cheese and sour cream. Again, a fairly large dish. It comes with potatoes and toast. The omelette was well made, didn't fall apart (as mine would). It tasted fresh and the peppers inside spiced it up a little. Overall it was a very good, unexpected experience. I think I'll come here much more frequently.

Even though this place is located in the downtown area of Park Ridge and seemed to be a chain restaurant, two things that usually keep me away from a restaurant, the two for one coupon changed my mind. After walking into the restaurant we were seated right away and the waitress was at our table within a few minutes. The menu had some unique items on it, but I had a taste for a certain type of skillet which they did not have so I settled on a omelet. You get a pot of coffee at your table, which I always love, that way you do not have to track down your server to get a refill. The omelet came with a scoop of sour cream on it, something that I have never had before, but it actually hit the spot. The food was semi hot and due to it being a little chilly in the place, the food was starting to cool off near the end of the meal. The meal seemed to be priced like other restaurants in the area, except for the coffee. For two coffees the price was about $ 4.50, way overpriced. But once we found a coupon in the local mailing that cut our bill in half, making for a good breakfast.

Thought this place was on Northwest Highway but this is it! Went for lunch today. Cute place, nice menu, friendly servers. I wanted to try something different. I got the Taco Duos. It is a breakfast entrée I would say. 2 soft corn tortillas with eggs, chicken, beans, cilantro, sour cream, etc., etc. I had them hold the green chiles. It was very good. A nice choice. After having this I would come back again.

Pro for breakfast: Plenty of food. Got the chicken fried steak, not overly cooked. Home cut potato hash. Fluffy scrabble eggs. Liked English muffin toasted with melted butter. fresh orange juice with pulp. Small pitcher of Lemon water on the table and they bring you a carafe of coffee if your a coffee drinker. Attentive waitress Didn't wait too long for breakfast maybe because we we're there @ 8am on a Saturday morning? Cons: would like waitress to introduce herself. Menus we're a bit sticky n musky smell maybe used an old rag to clean.

I've worked in the same town for 9 years and only ate here twice ... I regretted it the second time. The first time I was here my coworker ordered a junior and an adult skillet. The amount of food was the same, only on 2 different-sized plates. The tables are small (a table of 4 looks like it was for 2) and the seating areare cramped (2 of 3 of us in the party had to move for a couple to be seated behind us). The chicken in my chicken omelette tasted frozen. The croutons tasted old (tasted like storage room air). I should have passed on the salad.

I work close and have ordered to go three times. I always order the salads cause honestly they are so good but only once have I received my bread stick with no butter. Another time I received butter but no breadstick. This last time it was nothing :( :(

This Le Peep location is a Park Ridge tragedy that has turned into a travesty. I came here for (literally) decades for brunch every Sunday (almost literally) and loved it. Sadly, in recent years it has gone completely downhill in a hurry. The servers are no longer friendly. The silverware and cups are dirty and gross. The food quality is not up to par. If you're really craving Le Peep, try the far superior Mount Prospect or Evanston locations. If you do go to this location, say hello to my old friend Ray, the head table busser. He's been there forever and should own the place by now.

I really do not want to give this place any stars. This place has extremely poor service. Quality of food is really poor. Coffee is horrible. LeCrap, Lepoop

Convenient decent food (off CTA Purple Line). Fall Menu is more interesting than the regular menu. PUMPKIN PIE LATTE ($3.49) -- just okay. Cup seems smaller than the Le Peep I used to know. TURKEY APPLE BRIE MELT ($8.49) -- the side of spicy raspberry sauce perked my curiosity. Tasty as expected. Oozing brie melt sufficiently keeps the sourdough bread moist. SERVICE -- friendly. You pack your own brown bag. :-( Host knows the outlet locations. Yay! VENUE -- 80s decor. Green carpet flooring. Plenty of seating while waiting for table. DEAL -- Holiday coupon book for $25 that is valued at $150. Gift cards also available.

We came here for a leisurely brunch on a Saturday morning. We arrived around 9am and had no wait to be seated. I had the White Lightening omelet and my husband had the salmon benedict. Both were tasty and had generous portion sizes. I wasn't hungry again until 5pm! I was glad to see they offered some "lighter" choices for breakfast. As we both ordered coffee, we were brought a large pot for the table which stayed piping hot throughout the meal. Our waiter was attentive, checking on us regularly. We lingered for quite a while - I think we left a little after 11. There was no wait, and we didn't felt rushed to leave at all. Locals - check mailers for coupons. There seems to be ones for Le Peep regularly. We used a coupon for buy one entree, get the second half off. We had no problems using it. I'm sure we'll be heading back soon.

An ok breakfast place. It's a little dated on interior, but roomy and comfortable. Server was friendly. Food was decent, but coffee was mediocre which is a big deterrent with so much brunch competition around. May try again to confirm it wasn't a bad day on the coffee, but not really sure.

This place is just okay. I've been here a couple of times. One big issue I have is that the online menu is not up to date. It claims to offer brunch cocktails and a gluten-free menu. When my friends and I arrived at this location, we were told that neither of those things applied to this specific location, which sucked. The first time I ate here, I had pancakes, which were pretty dry. The second time, I tried the French toast, which was much better. Homemade orange juice is delightful. Service is average, but I like that you can sit and linger over breakfast as long as you want without being rushed out the door. Overall, it's an okay option for brunch, but there are much better options out there.

My husband more or less dragged me kicking and screaming into this place. Turned out: the food was pretty good! I had the eggs Benedict salmon and it was very yummy. Larger menu than I had guessed. Service was nice too. Had to eat crow about that place.

Been here a couple times already, all I have to say is that I recommend going, definitely. Cozy atmosphere, food is great each time I've had it, coffee is good: nice and hot, and very friendly servers that are attentive but not invasive. It's about 1000 times better then the P.Cake house next door. The food is better here and way more customer service oriented. Overall I am pleased I will be going back!

I go to Le Peep in Park Ridge about every other weekend. I never get bored. The food is healthy, fresh & top quality. I've tried just about everything on the menu. The non meat alternatives are excellent. The juice is the same in that it's fresh squeezed with a ton of choice I usually don't see at other places. The servers are friendly. The staff is professional. A good place to go for breakfast or brunch

The restaurant is decorated with kid drawings on the wall. Cute & creative. It was quite chilly inside, it didn't feel like the heater was on at all. A few of the customers were still wearing their coats. Another customer even asked to have a portable heater on the corner to be turned on. Now for the review on food. First the flavor of the day is butter pecan. I ordered a butter pecan flavored coffee. It's pretty good. I ordered dawn breaker (scrambled eggs, English muffin, with potatoes on the side). The eggs was a little dry and over cooked. Hence, the only time it felt warm is during the time I drink my coffee. :(

Worse experience I've ever had. Manager was our waitress didn't show her face to us for 25 minutes after being seated, food took forever was cold. Hair in fruit OJ milk warm. Only thing good was bus boy. And then she has the nerve to tell me I was rude. Never again.

It has been a very long time since I went out for breakfast. I must say please give them a try, wonderful place, great service and the best part was the meal! They even have fresh squeezed juice.

What does it say about an establishment when you think they should be on the an episode of Restaurant Impossible? I know, thats terrible, but unfortunately they just seemed like a tired restaurant that had even more tired food. My whole family went there last weekend when I came home to visit. There were 6 adults and 2 children, so a ton of breakfast entrees ordered. Let me tell you, of the 6, I would say only one looked appetizing. The service was super slow and definitely lacked any pep and I wondered about the time it took to get the food. Luckily we all chatted and had time to kill, but otherwise, this would have been an excruciating meal. When the food came out, I think my father's white egg omelet with spinach looked the MOST unappetizing of all the things I saw. The spinach didn't even looked somewhat cooked and looked like it was just tossed on the plate and the eggs up on top of it. Some of the spinach was wilted, and the rest just raw and sticking out all over the place. I was amused, until I saw my sad plate of Salmon Benedict. My mom's vegetable omelet was pretty tasteless and I'm not even sure what my hubby ate. I think he was confused too. Would I go back again? Not on your life. I'm thinking Dennys is a far better choice than even this place! And I don't think much of Dennys at all....

I wish I could give Le Peep a better review. The food was really good. I had the "Gooey Buns: to start the "Drifter" skillet for my meal. They were both SO good. I hate when you order veggies with eggs and they are overcooked and soggy or "veggies" means onions and peppers, not here the veggies were fresh and was a great mix! I also like that you have a choice of English Muffin . The reason for the low rating? The service. Nice enough but sloooooow. And I am certain our waitress forgot about us after we got our food. This would be ok (or understandable) if she was busy but I could see a group of staff hanging about socializing as we sat with our empty plates for about 10 minutes. It's really a shame, this place is cute and the food is good.

Stopped here for a late lunch around 2pm & ordered the special southwest chicken sandwich. Nothing special, just a piece of chicken on a bun with lettuce, tomato, & mayo. Very bland. For over $9.00 it did include a cup of soup, fries, or fruit. My friend ordered the large sized egg white omelet which in my opinion should be the "small" size. He said the taste was good, however at a price of over $9.00, it could have been alot bigger. I used to come here about 6 years ago and the menu & food was definitely better then.

Usually a good place but had a horrible experience with a waitress named Annie who thought she could charge us ala carte. And when I asked about the check, she insisted that she was right, walked away, and made a snide comment about us to another waitress who smirked. The manager fixed the bill but did not apologize. Yes, the food can be good but I value good friendly service just as much. The only good server seems to be Sandra (plus Ray the head bus guy is always nice)...if you ever go, insist that you get a table in Sandra's section.
